Relief news update from Chile - 10 Apr 2010

Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association relief news update from Chile.
More than one month since the harrowing 8.8 magnitude earthquake and ensuing tsunami that left nearly 800 perished on February 27, dozens of aftershocks have continued to shake the more than 2 million affected survivors.

Earthquake victim (M): There were a lot of people on Orrego island who disappeared. One could sense the cries of the people, but no one could do anything. (crying) We have lot of sadness, lot of sadness.

VOICE: Sending her condolences and sorrowful prayers, Supreme Master Ching Hai donated US$20,000, asking that our local Association members please go to help bring aid and comfort to those most in need.

This amount could obtain US$63,000 in materials if bought in the United States, based on Chile’s cost of living. Covering their own travel expenses, our Association’s Chilean relief team has been traveling to the most severely hit areas to deliver basic food and cleaning supplies.

More recently, they arrived in the remote towns of Peumo and Las Cabras with 4 tons of emergency supplies and a mobile dental clinic. Having received the warm welcome of city officials and residents, our Association members were offered help from local Chilean soldiers in distributing the items, which included fresh water, rice, flour, sugar, diapers and clothes.

Meanwhile, a trained dentist from among our Association’s relief team members offered free dental care to help restore the victims’ sense of well-being.

With some 700 homes destroyed, including many that belonged to the elderly, this was the first aid the communities had received since the disasters.

Despite a strong aftershock that momentarily sent a wave of panic, no one was injured. The relief recipients, local Red Cross, and town officials gathered to convey their gratefulness for the loving support.

Mayor of Peumo, Chile (M): Our eternal gratitude, our eternal commitment to truth, thanks for the gesture that you have made to our community.

VOICE: We appreciate the efforts of the government, Red Cross, and all personnel who have been assisting the quake-afflicted in Chile. Our thankfulness also to Supreme Master Ching Hai for her unconditional care to those in distress, and to our Association’s relief team for their diligent endeavors.

As we pray that the Chilean people soon resume their productive daily lives, may such traumatic events be alleviated through our better stewardship of the ecosphere.

Relief news update from Peru - 11 Apr 2010

Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association relief news update from Peru.
Since the beginning of 2010, the southern region of Cusco, Peru has been inundated by the heaviest rains in 15 years. Resulting deadly mudslides and floods in the Taray district of Calca Province claimed at least nine lives and forced over 133 families to evacuate as thousands of homes were destroyed.

Expressing deep sorrow and prayers, Supreme Master Ching Hai donated initially US$5,000 in aid, with more later if needed, asking that our native or nearby Association members please go help the most vulnerable.

This amount could acquire US$27,000 in emergency supplies purchased in the United States, based on the cost of living in Peru. Following the initial floods in Taray, our Association’s native relief team went to deliver warm clothes to the elderly and children, and food supplies to the victimized families.

However, another wave of floods hit soon after, causing many more people to lose their homes and belongings. The relief team returned to Taray, where they prepared fresh and nourishing vegan meals for 650 people who depended on a modestly supplied community kitchen for sustenance.

The team then went to the nearby Pisac, where nine workers had perished in the flooded Quilcapata River. Families there received sealable buckets filled with relief items, blankets, and informative SOS flyers.

With assistance offered by local students and teachers, the relief team also organized a presentation to help raise awareness of the tolls of climate change and the most sustainable vegan solution.

Village representative (M): Thank you very much Master Ching Hai and to all the relief team.
Relief recipient (F): Thank you, Master Ching Hai.
Relief recipient (F): Master Ching Hai, thank you.

VOICE: Our appreciation, all volunteers, students and teachers, for your willing assistance. We are also thankful for Supreme Master Ching Hai’s wholehearted support to the Peruvian people, and for the diligent endeavors of our Association’s relief team. With Heaven’s blessings, may the disaster-stricken residents soon recover as such distressing situations are alleviated through humanity’s increased care for one another.

Relief news update from Kazakhstan - 16 Apr 2010

Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association relief news update from Kazakhstan.
In March 2010, heavy rains combined with unexpectedly rapid snow melt in the southern province of Almaty resulted in devastating floods that stormed through the village of Kyzyl-Agash as a dam burst in the Aksuisky region.

At least 44 people perished and 2,500 others were forced to evacuate. Hearing of this tragedy, Supreme Master Ching Hai expressed her deep sorrow and prayers and donated US$15,000 in emergency aid, asking that our nearby Association members go to help those most in need.

This amount could purchase US$590,000 in supplies bought in the United States, based on the cost of living in Kazakhstan. Our Association’s relief team from South Korea went to the affected area, contributing US$6,000 of their personal funds to cover their travel expenses and help with the relief.
Once there, they met with the deputy mayor of Aksuisky as well as the head of flood-swept Kyzyl-Agash.

Kyzyl-Agash village chief, Almaty, Kazakhstan (F): Snow melted, water increased and the dam could not withstand the water pressure, and poured into the village.

VOICE: Finding that the 2,500 displaced persons were most in need of cash aid, the relief team prepared envelopes containing a total of US$17,100. While distributing these, our Association members also spoke with the director of a village school, who said that their 10 computers had been lost to the flood. The team immediately donated US$3,000 to replace this equipment for the school.

The relief recipients expressed their sincere thanks to Supreme Master Ching Hai and our Association for coming from afar, with some saying they hoped the team could return later to see how the village had been restored.

Kyzyl-Agash village chief, Almaty, Kazakhstan (F): We are very grateful that at this difficult time, they contributed to help our residents. Many thanks for your visit to our village.

VOICE: We are thankful for Supreme Master Ching Hai’s loving support for the vulnerable, and appreciate the diligent endeavors of our Association’s relief team.

Our prayers are with the affected Kazakh people in wishing them a swift return to regularity as such calamities are minimized through humanity’s increased care for each other and the planet.

Relief news update from China - 26 Mar 2010

Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association relief news update from China.
A severe and ongoing drought throughout southwestern China continues to affect more than 25 million people and 8 million hectares of arable land, with extreme conditions seen across Yunnan and other provinces that meteorological experts are attributing largely to climate change.

In March, Supreme Master Ching Hai conveyed her love and prayers as she donated more than US$4,000, requesting that our Association members go help the most desperate and the neglected.

Combined with contributions of about US$1,400 from our Chinese Association members, the total US$5,500 could acquire approximately US$39,400 in urgent items in the United States, based on China’s overall cost of living.

Covering their own travel expenses, our Chinese Association members traveled to remote parts of Yunnan Province where they delivered crucial water supplies.

Per Supreme Master Ching Hai’s request for updates, the following is a report from our Association's relief team.

April 20, 2010 Most Benevolent Master,
Re: Drought relief in Yunnan Province This year, Yunnan encountered its most serious drought in 100 years. People and animals are short of drinking water in many places, and spring harvests have seen huge losses. On March 29, we purchased 1,200 barrels, or 24 tons, of mineral water plus 13 large containers
    of bottled water.

We arrived with two truckloads of water in Luliang County’s Qujing District, where 1820 people in some 400 families had been desperately short of water for several months.

The relief team also delivered water to Xingren Primary School for the youngest children and families most in need. The villagers asked us to convey their gratefulness for the much- needed water. We also distributed SOS flyers on the vegan solution for such climate impacts, with many villagers asking for more flyers to share with their relatives and friends.

Our offer to build new wells at two primary schools, which would benefit many children as well as local people, was warmly welcomed by the local government.

Both Qujing and Baoshan District governments also requested our continued assistance in building more wells, which are the villagers’ main source of water.

Thank you Master for your loving care and blessing to these drought victims. We wish that all people return to the natural way of living to restore our planet to harmony.
With all our love,Yunnan Relief Team

VOICE: We thank Supreme Master Ching Hai for allowing us to share these details, as well as our Association’s Foreign Group for providing this report. Our gratefulness to the local Chinese governments for their efforts to assist residents in coping with the drought.

We also appreciate Supreme Master Ching Hai’s unconditional support of the vulnerable and our Association relief team’s giving service.

As we pray for the security and well-being of the Chinese people, we look forward to the day when the ecosphere is fully replenished through our wise and gentler stewardship.

Relief news update from Haiti - 29 Apr 2010

Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association relief news update from Haiti.
More than 3 months following the 7.0-magnitude quake that struck the island nation, our Association’s relief team recently concluded their work. They had arrived just after the unforgettable January 12 disaster had left the capital city in utter ruin and claimed over 200,000 lives. More than 1.5 million survivors were left homeless, in grief, frightened amidst the countless aftershocks, and desperately without food and water.

Business owner (M): We are trying to survive, I tell you, with hands, fingers, a shovel. (tearing) (crying) Excuse me. (Don’t worry.)

VOICE: Meanwhile, thousands of injured were in need of immediate attention for crushed limbs and other serious physical trauma. Urgent calls for aid and rescue workers were met with overwhelmingly generous international response. Nevertheless, medical personnel and basic supplies were still very limited.

With heartfelt concern, Supreme Master Ching Hai immediately requested that our Association members go render much-needed help including medical and surgical care.

She also gave donations totaling US$134,000, which, combined with a steady outpour of contributions from our Association members around the globe, came to US$577,000.

This amount could purchase US$21 million in supplies in the United States, based on the cost of living in Haiti. With most covering their own travel expenses, our Association’s relief team, including doctors and nurses, delivered food, medicine, and water purifiers, and treated emergency patients in the capital of Port-au-Prince, collaborating efforts with the Haitian Red Cross and Active Community Teams Serving (ACTS) World Relief.

In addition, the Dominican Republic’s Civil Defense team, who had worked with our Association in the past, cooperated closely on a daily basis to ensure secure and unrestricted access to and from affected areas.

Invited to be stationed at the Seventh Day Adventist medical center in Carrefour, our Association’s relief team was able to work from one of the largest facilities still standing after the temblor, which was also equipped to treat some of the most seriously wounded.

Association member, Pediatric physician (F): We have fortunately saved many babies that we couldn’t believe they were alive. And now they’re really happy and smiling and awake!

VOICE: As the needs of the earthquake victims evolved over time, Supreme Master Ching Hai continued to ensure that the most current necessities were provided.

She had donated an additional US$20,000 for pain relief medications for the wounded patients. When concerns began to grow about the coming rainy season, she set aside another US$40,000 for the purchase of durable tents to replace the makeshift homes made of bed sheets and scrap materials.

With detailed concern, Supreme Master Ching Hai then asked that the relief team also provide residents with protective floor lining to ensure dry tent floors when it rained.

Tent recipient (M): Before the people received these tents, we slept in very deplorable conditions. I specifically thank Master Ching Hai. She is a very generous person who loves Haiti.

VOICE: Upon request for help in meeting the hospital’s food shortage, the relief team also set up a cooking team to provide fresh, wholesome vegan meals daily to all hospital patients and staff.

The operation continuously expanded, eventually serving up to 4,000 daily meals to victims and relief personnel alike in various locations.

Meanwhile, it became clear that the orphaned children, whose numbers swelled since the earthquake, especially were in need of basic aid. The relief team visited orphanages and some of the most desperate tent cities where our Association members who are doctors and dentists were able to provide health services as well as medicine, new clothes, and toys.

Sister Sylvie Eli - Orphanage caregiver (F): I am very grateful to Master Ching Hai for the gift she has given to us through the tents for the children.

VOICE: Though our Association members went to Haiti with the purpose of giving a helping hand, what they learned from their experience with the Haitian people was more precious than words could convey.

Our Association relief team member, cooking team, Adventist Hospital, Haiti (M): (teary) Just the experience of Haiti itself, the people from Haiti, have taught me so much.

VOICE: Many relief recipients also wrote letters of gratitude to Supreme Master Ching Hai. The following are just some of the excerpts:

Administration Council of the 4th Section Procy of Carrefour : “We the Administration Council of the 4th communal section of Procy in Carrefour and the organization for the Development of Procy ORDEP are glad to thank you for the great and precious work you are doing in our section.”

La Farandole de Mirna Association, Carrefour, assisting children : “Our greatest and absolute respect goes to Supreme Master Ching Hai for her special devotion to the children.”

VOICE: Our appreciation once more to the Adventist Hospital, Red Cross, Dominican Civil Defense, and all organizations and individuals for their dedicated help to the earthquake victims.
We also send our gratefulness for Supreme Master Ching Hai’s caring support all this time, and for our Association’s relief team’s dedicated efforts.
Our prayers for Heaven's continued protection of the gentle Haitian people, and for the planet's lasting stability through humanity's gentler regard for all beings.

Relief news update from China - 30 Apr 2010

Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association relief news update from China.
On April 14, the morning calm was broken by a powerful 6.9-magnitude that struck Yushu County in the southernmost Qinghai province. Over 2,000 lost their lives and 12,135 others suffered injuries as many buildings and homes collapsed.

Zhaxi'ema, survivor, 34-years-old: My husband was young. My son was only nine-years-old. They both died in the earthquake. I've lost everything. All of our belongings are buried under the debris and have not been dug out. Now I have to bring up these three children by myself. I'd rather die.

Suononbaji, survivor, 10-years-old: When the earthquake struck, I was in school. My parents died in our house. I had no place to go, so I've been living with my teacher these past few days. My food and clothes are provided by my teacher.

Though the Chinese government immediately responded with assistance, thousands were rendered homeless to endure the still-wintry weather and harsh cold winds.

Expressing her deep sorrow and prayers, Supreme Master Ching Hai donated US$15,000, requesting that our nearby Association members go to aid the most vulnerable, such as the orphaned and elderly without caregivers.

Combined with donations from our Association members, the total contribution of US$44,240 could acquire US$316,000 in emergency items bought in the United States, based on China's cost of living.

Covering their own travel expenses of approximately US$1,460, our Chinese Association members delivered urgent supplies to the affected areas. In accordance with Supreme Master Ching Hai’s request for updates, the following is a report from our Association's relief team.

    Most Beloved Master,
Re: Earthquake in Qinghai We brought grains and vegetables from Xining to Yushu by car, driving 820 kilometers at altitudes of over 4,000 meters high.

At Yushu, we also served 1,500 warm vegan meals to the local victims, who had been suffering from temperatures that dipped below zero in the night.

Most of the relief goods they were receiving were instant food, so they were overjoyed to have hot meals. The local government and victims were deeply moved by Master’s assistance, and even used police cars to help us deliver the food.

Our Association members were there for two weeks. Though the conditions were very difficult, we are grateful for God’s blessing to let us stay with the victims and thank Master for giving us the opportunity to share our love with the people most in need.
    Chinese relief team

Supreme Master Ching Hai replied as follows:
Thank you for bearing the harsh conditions to help our vulnerables.
May Heaven bless you and protect the victims in their troubled hours.

VOICE: We are thankful to Supreme Master Ching Hai for permitting us to bring these details to our viewers, as well as to our Association’s Foreign Group for providing this report.

Our appreciation, Chinese government and other personnel working to help the quake-stricken people. We also thank Supreme Master Ching Hai for her unconditional support, as well as for our Association relief team’s selfless service. Wishing the residents a swift return to stability as such damaging events are eased by our striving for gentler, eco-conscious lifestyles.

Relief news update from China - 1 May 2010

Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association relief news update from China.
Across four provinces in southwestern China, more than 50 million farmers have been affected by an epic drought that began in September 2009 and even earlier in some areas.

With 20 million people who have been lacking adequate drinking water, the Chinese government has deployed troops to deliver water to the most affected areas.

Meanwhile, remote area residents cross large distances on foot, sometimes up and down mountains, to fetch water for their families.

Conveying her loving concern and prayers, in March, Supreme Master Ching Hai donated more than US$4,000, and asked that our Association members go help the most in need.

Together with the contributions from our Chinese Association members, the total US$6,600 could obtain approximately US$47,000 in emergency items in the United States, based on China’s cost of living. Covering their own travel expenses, our Chinese relief team rushed with supplies of water and also began building wells in several of the severely-hit villages in Yunnan province.

They then went to Guangxi province’s Bama County, where an absence of rainfall since July 2009 has cost farmers their grain supplies.

Our Association’s relief team purchased both water and grain, which were entrusted to the government to distribute to the residents as the hilly roads were too difficult to deliver the large quantities of supplies directly. As the local officials expressed their thanks for the aid, the next day, a miraculously long and cooling rain arrived for the first time in 9 months.

We thank Heaven for the most needed rain and the Chinese governments for their meaningful assistance to the drought-afflicted - citizens.

Our gratefulness also to Supreme Master Ching Hai for her caring help, as well as our Association’s relief team for their kind efforts.

May the Chinese people soon return to safe and worry-free lives, as we pray for the restoring of the Earth’s resources through our eco-conscious ways.

The tornado that swept through the US state of Mississippi on Saturday, April 24 left a path of devastation 150 miles long and up to 1.5 miles wide, costing 10 lives, including three children.

Dozens more people were injured, some critically, as buildings were shattered into debris, and power lines and trees were downed. The same tornado also destroyed more than a dozen houses in neighboring Louisiana.

Covering their own travel and related expenses of US$500, our Association’s relief teams from Texas and Arkansas drove to Talullah Port, Louisiana and Yazoo County, Mississippi, two of the hardest-hit areas.

In cooperation with local officials, the packages, which also included SOS flyers, were given both to relief distribution centers and directly to the tornado victims, who warmly expressed their thanks, saying that they felt hopeful despite the trauma and losses.

Mississippi, USA (F): I would like to thank the Supreme Master Ching Hai for the donations that you’ve given to us, and for your love and consideration for this community in this time of disaster.

In two hardest-hit towns alone, nearly 200 houses were destroyed, 60 people lost their lives or went missing, and more than 1,300 were rendered homeless.

Parents were in grief after watching the currents take away their children.

Relief recipient (F): More than anything, I’d lost six family members who have been living in the disaster zone. I found five, I’m missing one.

VOICE: Local governments provided some immediate food, tents and healthcare. Expressing her love and prayers for the Peruvian people, Supreme Master Ching Hai donated US$3,200 for our nearby Association members to go offer assistance to those most in need.

Relief news update from China - 9 May 2010

Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association relief news update from China.
Since late April, landslides, mud flows and floods in Hunan province claimed the lives of three people as continuous rains caused the Xiang River to overflow.

Approximately one million residents across 27 counties were affected as over 4,600 homes collapsed and 40,000 hectares of farmland were inundated.

Sending her sympathies and prayers, Supreme Master Ching Hai donated an initial US$5,850 for our nearby Association members to render necessary aid and US$10,000 after for more urgent necessities to the most vulnerable.

Per Supreme Master Ching Hai’s request for updates, the following is a report from our Association's Chinese relief team. May 6, 2010

Re: Disaster Relief in Hunan Province Most Beloved Master,
After arriving at the seriously affected Hengnan County, local government officers accompanied us to first visit the town of Liaotian, where 27 families had completely lost their homes and some 700 others were affected by various degrees of damage.

In accordance to the victims’ needs, we immediately purchased 164 10-kilogram bags of rice and 47 5-liter barrels of cooking oil.

Local leaders helped us distribute the relief goods by car to families most in need who resided at a far distance from each other.

We also gave an injured man who had no family support a cash donation to help cover his medical costs. While there, we met another man with children who was burdened by economic pressures and the difficulties of his wife’s mental disease.

After receiving Master’s cash donation, he was greatly encouraged. His wife also suddenly calmed, showing a peacefulness not seen for a long time, which moved one of the government officers to tears.

We explained the importance of the vegan lifestyle, which some of the government officers promised to adopt in future. We then went to the town of Guanxi and purchased 360 10-kilograms bags of rice and 66 5-liter barrels of cooking oil, which were then distributed to the 66 hardest-hit families, as well as the leader of Nanyue village.

We also handed out flyers on the vegan lifestyle, as well as the book “Say No to Meat Food,” which the local people were very happy and grateful to receive.

In cooking two vegan lunches for the community, local village leaders expressed their joyful surprise, saying, “Wow, the vegan food can be so delicious!”

Some also promised to promote veganism to foster the healthy and virtuous way of life.
During the whole relief work, we could strongly feel Master’s love, which uplifted the recipients’ spirits.

We hope all people could adopt the merciful vegan lifestyle to solve the tolls of global warming.

Relief news update from Mongolia - 11 May 2010

Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association relief news update from Mongolia.
Starting in January, hundreds of thousands of Mongolians were struck by extreme cold and blizzards, with temperatures dropping to minus 40 degrees Celsius or more.

At least four human lives were lost and government officials, who made appeals for emergency food relief for the isolated villagers, continued to ask for help into the spring, as the herding communities suffered destitution. With heartfelt condolences and her prayers, in January Supreme Master Ching Hai had donated approximately US$10,000 and asked that our Mongolian Association members to please go help the most desperate.

Our Association’s relief team from Mongolia brought emergency vegan food supplies to vulnerable families in the Bayanchandmani Soum (county) of Töv province, with the help of local officials.

The relief team’s aid to the livestock herding families, who did not even have warm shelter, then continued, with the building of sturdy traditional houses.

Relief recipient (F): I am very grateful to Supreme Master Ching Hai that she gave us this Ger (house) when we have been affected by the disaster.

VOICE: After being informed about the vegan way to protect themselves and the planet, many decided to be vegetarian and seek other livelihoods such as plumbing and carpentering.

Our Association’s relief team worked with them over time, providing them tools for plumbing and carpentry, as well as vegetable seedlings and skills so they could subsist on their own food gardens.

Former livestock herder turned vegetable farmer (F): Because I lost our livestock and cattle due to the disaster, I am thinking to plant vegetables to support my life.

There are many other people who have decided like this. I am very thankful to the Master. Thank you very much for your support to us for a better life.

Head of people's representative agency, Bayarnemekh.B – Bayanchandman, Mongolia (M): Through this TV, and on behalf of our local people and local government, I would like to say thank you very much to Master Ching Hai as well as her Association members in Mongolia.

VOICE: In gratitude to Supreme Master Ching Hai’s assistance over the past months, the local governor also declared May 12 of each year as the Supreme Master Ching Hai Day.

In an official ceremony, Bayanchandmani County Governor Batmunkh personally presented a certificate. Upon hearing this, Master was very moved and said: "humbly I thank the mongolian government. May heaven protect your people in this dire time and beyond."

Our appreciation to the governor and other regional officials for your work in bringing aid to fellow citizens. We also thank Supreme Master Ching Hai for her unconditional support as well as our Association’s relief team for their dedicated care. Our prayers for the Mongolian people’s stable and brighter future, and that such extreme weather subsides as we join in more caring stewardship of our shared planetary abode.

Relief news update from China - 13 May 2010

Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association relief news update from China.
Since the autumn of 2009, more than 25 million people across southwestern regions of the nation have been suffering from an extreme drought that is parching some eight million hectares of arable land. Our Association members report from Yunnan Province, one of the hard-hit regions.

Chinese Correspondent (F): I am standing beside a lake near Dali, Yunnan. Previously, this area was covered with water. The water should be deep. This scene is very common in the southwestern provinces nowadays.

Chinese Correspondent (F): This area is a typical case. It got no rain since last May. The break of the land is big enough for me to put my fist in. Many places are like this. There will be no harvest this year.

VOICE: Global warming has intensified the crisis, with many regional water bodies dropping to their lowest levels in a century.

Drought-afflicted farmer (F): The climate has gone bad in recent years. In some previous years we had some big rain, and the water was plenty. This year is the worst.

Chinese Correspondent (F): The water reservoir behind me provides irrigation water for seven villages. The water level dropped four meters since the beginning of the drought.
People also culture fish in this reservoir, and the fish feed has polluted it so people can’t drink directly from it.

Drought-afflicted farmer (M): Villages get water from the Xiaobai River down there. People from our village must go there at 4 or 5 AM. If we go there later than that, we can’t get any water.

VOICE: In March, Supreme Master Ching Hai donated over US$4,000, expressing her love and prayers as she asked that our Association members go help the most desperate and the neglected. Combined with contributions from our Chinese Association members, the total US$5,500 could obtain approximately US$39,400 in emergency supplies purchased in the United States, based on the cost of living in China.

Covering their own travel expenses, our native Association members went to remote parts of Yunnan Province where they delivered crucial water supplies and also worked to provide longer-term support.

Chinese Correspondent (F): Supreme Master Ching Hai showed her concern, donating 1,200 buckets of drinking water to distribute to the victims here. She also donated money to dig three wells for the elementary school and local people.
Behind me are two wells under construction. They will provide drinking water for 2,000 people.

VOICE: The aid was welcomed by the local residents as well as the Qujing and Baoshan District governments, who both also requested Supreme Master Ching Hai’s continued assistance.

Chinese Correspondent (F): The well behind me is ready for use. It can provide drinking water for about 400 teachers and students in this elementary school. The water supply is sufficient to provide water 24 hours daily nonstop.

Chinese Correspondent (F): Supreme Master Television reporting from Yunnan.

VOICE: We thank Supreme Master Ching Hai for her steadfast concern and care for the drought-stricken, as well as our Association relief team for their diligent service to those in need.

Our prayers for the resiliency of the Chinese people and that sweet, abundant rain may soon arrive as we strive meanwhile to alleviate such extreme conditions through our greater kindness toward all beings.
