Vì có nhiều người khởi công chép lại những biến cố đã xảy ra giữa chúng ta, theo như các kẻ từ đầu đã chứng kiến và phục vụ lời Chúa, đã truyền lại cho chúng ta, phần tôi, thưa ngài Thêophilê, sau khi tìm hỏi cẩn thận mọi sự từ đầu, tôi quyết định viết cho ngài bài tường thuật sau đây, để ngài hiểu chân lý các giáo huấn ngài đã lãnh nhận.


Since many have undertaken to compile a narrative of the events that have been fulfilled among us, just as those who were eyewitnesses from the beginning and ministers of the word have handed them down to us,
I too have decided, after investigating everything accurately anew, to write it down in an orderly sequence for you, most excellent Theophilus, so that you may realize the certainty of the teachings you have received.


Schon viele haben es unternommen, einen Bericht über all das abzufassen, was sich unter uns ereignet und erfüllt hat.
Dabei hielten sie sich an die Überlieferung derer, die von Anfang an Augenzeugen und Diener des Wortes waren.
Nun habe auch ich mich entschlossen, allem von Grund auf sorgfältig nachzugehen, um es für dich, hochverehrter Theophilus, der Reihe nach aufzuschreiben.
So kannst du dich von der Zuverlässigkeit der Lehre überzeugen, in der du unterwiesen wurdest.

Bấy giờ Chúa Giêsu trở về Galilêa trong quyền lực Thánh Thần, và danh tiếng Người lan tràn khắp cả miền chung quanh. Người giảng dạy trong các hội đường và được mọi người ca tụng. Người đến Nadarét, nơi Người sinh trưởng, và theo thói quen của Người, thì ngày nghỉ lễ, Người vào hội đường. Người đứng dậy để đọc sách. Người ta trao cho Người sách tiên tri Isaia. Mở sách ra, Người gặp ngay đoạn chép rằng:
"Thánh Thần Chúa ngự trên tôi, vì Ngài xức dầu cho tôi, sai tôi đi rao giảng Tin Mừng cho người nghèo khó, thuyên chữa những tâm hồn sám hối, loan truyền sự giải thoát cho kẻ bị giam cầm, cho người mù được trông thấy, trả tự do cho những kẻ bị áp bức, công bố năm hồng ân và ngày khen thưởng".


Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit,
and news of him spread throughout the whole region.
He taught in their synagogues and was praised by all.

He came to Nazareth, where he had grown up,
and went according to his custom
into the synagogue on the sabbath day.
He stood up to read and was handed a scroll of the prophet Isaiah.
He unrolled the scroll and found the passage where it was written:
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me
to bring glad tidings to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free,
and to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord.


Jesus kehrte, erfüllt von der Kraft des Geistes, nach Galiläa zurück. Und die Kunde von ihm verbreitete sich in der ganzen Gegend.
Er lehrte in den Synagogen und wurde von allen gepriesen.
So kam er auch nach Nazaret, wo er aufgewachsen war, und ging, wie gewohnt, am Sabbat in die Synagoge. Als er aufstand, um aus der Schrift vorzulesen,
reichte man ihm das Buch des Propheten Jesaja. Er schlug das Buch auf und fand die Stelle, wo es heißt:
`` Der Geist des Herrn ruht auf mir; denn der Herr hat mich gesalbt. Er hat mich gesandt, damit ich den Armen eine gute Nachricht bringe; damit ich den Gefangenen die Entlassung verkünde und den Blinden das Augenlicht; damit ich die Zerschlagenen in Freiheit setze und ein Gnadenjahr des Herrn ausrufe.´´

Người gấp sách lại, trao cho thừa tác viên, và ngồi xuống. Mọi người trong hội đường đều chăm chú nhìn Người. Người bắt đầu nói với họ: "Hôm nay ứng nghiệm đoạn Kinh Thánh mà tai các ngươi vừa nghe".

Rolling up the scroll, he handed it back to the attendant and sat down, and the eyes of all in the synagogue looked intently at him. He said to them, “Today this Scripture passage is fulfilled in your hearing.”


Dann schloss er das Buch, gab es dem Synagogendiener und setzte sich. Die Augen aller in der Synagoge waren auf ihn gerichtet.
Da begann er, ihnen darzulegen: Heute hat sich das Schriftwort, das ihr eben gehört habt, erfüllt.
