Một bé gái 2 đầu đã chào đời tại Manila, Philippines, cùng ngày với một bé sơ sinh hai đầu qua đời ở Indonesia.
Bé gái hai đầu chào đời tại bệnh viện Jose Febelly ở thủ đô Manila vào tối thứ 3 vừa rồi, nặng 2,7kg.
Cũng như “người hai đầu” ở Indonesia, đây là một cặp sinh đôi dính liền phần thân. Các bác sĩ cho hay hiện sức khỏe của bé đang ổn định nhưng nhiều khả năng không có cơ hội sống sót vì hai bé chỉ có 1 quả tim.
Một bác sĩ cho biết: “Tỷ lệ sống sót của cặp song sinh dính liền thân phụ thuộc vào các các cơ quan nội tạng chung. Nếu cặp song sinh chỉ có một quả tim thì hầu như không có cơ hội sống sót”.
Bé gái sau đó đã được chuyển tới Bệnh viện Tim Philipines và phải nằm trong phòng chăm sóc đặc biệt.
Các nguồn tin cho hay, người cha bé là anh Salvador Arganda, một tài xế xe 3 bánh. Arganda và người vợ Chateria đã có 5 người con. Không rõ là gia đình này có truyền thống sinh đôi hay không.
Gần đây, một bé trai hai đầu cũng đã chào đời tại Indonesia nhưng qua đời hôm 28/7, năm ngày sau khi sinh.

(A baby girl with two heads and one body was born in a Manila hospital late Tuesday night. Doctors at the Fabella hospital told reporters on Wednesday that the baby, weighted almost 6 pounds at birth, was stable but might not have good chances to survive as they share only one heart. The babies, classified as conjoined twins for the moment, were named only as Baby A and Baby B.
A hospital spokeswoman said the baby was stable at the moment, but said she may die if tests proved both heads shared only one set of vital organs. “The rate of survival will depend on the shared organ. If they only have one heart, they will not survive,” the unidentified spokeswoman told local radio. Officials at the hospital said the extra head appeared to be a twin of the girl who failed to fully separate during the development stage in early pregnancy.
The father, Salvador Arganda, tricycle driver and resident of Mutinlupa City, said his wife, Chaterian, are calling their daughter “Baby Girl Arciaga”. Arganda, a tricycle driver, asked for prayers and financial help when reporters reached the hospital bed. Doctors said the baby needs to be placed under neo-natal intensive care unit and will be transferred to the Philippine Heart Center for treatments to sustain the fragile life. But an operation to separate the conjoined twins is a stretch of the hospital capabilities in the country. Another infant born with two heads died in Indonesia on Tuesday due to organ failure. It lived only five days.
